Senior Care Facility Resident Seriously Injured In Assault, New London Police Say
The resident was left unconscious and unresponsive following an assault Monday night, according to police.
NEW LONDON, CT — A resident at a senior care facility suffered serious injuries in an assault Monday night, according to police.
Police and paramedics responded at 10:14 p.m. on a report of an unconscious and unresponsive man at a Briarcliff Manor apartment on Colman Street. The man appeared to have suffered facial injuries, police said.
He was taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Authorities are investigating. Police said the incident does not appear to be random.
