Update Released On Car Vs. Dirt Bike Crash In New London
Police have provided information on the status of a dirt bike rider who was injured in an accident over the weekend.

NEW LONDON, CT — A dirt bike rider injured in an accident over the weekend in New London remains hospitalized in stable condition, according to police.
The dirt bike rider is a 17-year-old New London resident. The driver involved in the accident is a New London woman.
The crash remains under investigation.

At 7:33 p.m. Friday, police and fire personnel responded to the area of Broad and Center streets for a reported accident involving a dirt bike and motor vehicle. Additionally, it was reported that the operator of the dirt bike appeared injured, police added.
Upon arrival, emergency service personnel located an injured juvenile in the roadway. Immediate medical aid was rendered, and the victim was taken to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital for medical treatment, police said.

The members of the New London Police Accident Reconstruction Team responded and is conducting the investigation.
