Municipal

Monday:

Public Safety Committee, 6 p.m., City Hall. Councilors will discuss a proposed ordinance on the New London Police Department’s K-9 program.

City Council, 7 p.m., City Hall. Agenda includes neighbors' concerns about increases in water and sewer rates, designation of Veterans Field as a potential recreation center site, the Nathan Hale School construction, and a letter from the Connecticut Siting Council on the Bates Woods cell phone tower.

Wednesday:

Parks and Recreation Commission, 6:30 p.m., Senior Center.

Thursday:

Ledge Light Health District, 5:30 p.m., 216 Broad Street.

Conservation Commission, 7 p.m., 111 Union Street.

Board of Education workshop, 7 p.m., Science and Technology Magnet High School lecture hall. Agenda includes the approval of grants; the appointment of the magnet school's officer, Winthrop School dean, and supervisor of professional development and career management; and job descriptions for the Winthrop School operations manager and STMHS curriculum, special projects, and STEM integration specialist.
