Retailers such as Walmart and Stop & Shop are also open. Convenience stores, such as Henny Penny, are open as usual, so if you need to dash out for last minute supplies, you've got options.

• State and local government offices and courts will be closed Thursday and Friday.
• New London schools are closed Thursday and Friday.
