Newtown Election 2017: Updated Results of Tuesday's Election
Residents voted for a new First Selectman, and other town positions.

NEWTOWN, CT — On the heels of the state's longest-ever budget impasse, the 2017 municipal elections will be instrumental in the town's direction. Residents selected a new First Selectman, and elected candidates to several town boards. Democrats took an 8-4 control of the town's Legislative Council.
Here are the results. Winners are indicated in bold.:
