Newtown Election Results 2025: Projected Winner Revealed In First Selectman Race
Newtown residents cast their ballots for several key local races on Election Day. Here are the latest results.

NEWTOWN, CT — Democrat and Independent challenger Bruce Walczak defeated incumbent Republican Jeff Capeci for Newtown First Selectman, as projected by Democrat Town Committee officials.
A retired businessman, Walczak was previously elected to the Newtown Police Commission, and appointed to three terms on the Newtown Economic Development Commission, and appointed alternate to the Newtown Borough Historic District and the First Selectman's Business Advisory Committee
