• Newtown Police Health Check Ends With Risk of Injury to Chikld Charges (patch.com) — Newtown police recently handled a welfare check that led to criminal charges, along with several weather-related crashes and minor parking-lot incidents around town. Officers responded to collisions on Mt. Pleasant, South Main, Hattertown, and other local roads, plus a hit-and-run at Caraluzzi’s and a fender-bender in the Church Hill Road Starbucks drive-thru, with mostly minor damage and few reported injuries.
