Sewing Masks For Free: Newtown Hero
Mary Tomasiewicz has sewn more than 350 masks for friends, family and anyone who needs one.
NEWTOWN, CT — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

Mary has been dedicated to making face masks for friends, family, hospitals, and for people she doesn't know who have reached out through Facebook. To date she has made over 350 masks.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
Mary is quiet but she moves mountains in her quiet and unassuming way. She is imaginative and creative and she is constantly creating good in the world.
