[WATCH] Orlando Shooting Reaction: Sandy Hook Mom Slams 'Constipated Congress' on Gun Control

Nelba Marquez-Greene criticized Marco Rubio and other Senators for their failure to act on the issue of gun control.

Sandy Hook, CT — The mother of one of the slain students of the Sandy Hook School shootings in 2012 is fighting mad and urging Florida Senator Marcio Rubio to change his stance on gun control.

In a CNN interview, Nelba Marquez-Greene, mother of 6-year-old Ana Marquez-Greene, ripped into Rubio and called Congress "constipated" for its inaction to help curb gun violence in America. Marquez-Greene's family motto has always been "Love Wins," which has now become the message of her foundation, The Ana Grace Foundation.

When asked by the CNN interviewer if she was surprised that another mass shooting has occurred, Marquez-Greene said, "I'm not surprised. I'm not surprised because we have a pretty constipated Congress. Love does now win when we're bickering. Love does not win when we can't get together to save American lives."

She continued, "I am incredibly angry at the number of senators and officials who looked at me in the face when we went to Washington after Sandy Hook and said 'there is nothing we can do,' Marco Rubio being one of them. And now disaster is at his doorstep."

Marquez-Green said she is angry at the Senators who "hid behind their bibles" after the tragedy and couldn't change gun laws because this is a Constitutional right.
