GOOD NEWS!: Beer & Wine Tasting at POCO Fest Extended 1 Hour
The time to have beer and wine on the last day of the festival has been extended an extra hour to give people more time to enjoy.

NORTH BRANFORD, CT - Good news for beer and wine lovers - the two hour tasting event on the last day of the POCO Festival on August 5th has been extended an extra hour.
Originally the Town Council had approved an two hour event on the last day of the Potato & Corn Festival on August 5th.
But at the most recent Town Council meeting, it was decided it would be best to extend the time another hour, to make sure people had enough time to enjoy.

People will purchase a wristband to gain entry to a designated area where local breweries and wineries would present tasting opportunities.
No alcohol would actually be sold, per say, but rather people will pay a fee for the event in order to taste the various beers and wines from local breweries and vineyards.
The area would be policed to make sure that everyone was of legal age.

Allowing farm breweries to operate in town, which would include manufacturing and brewing of beer, retail sale of beer, tasting rooms and events has been the subject public hearings recently in front of the Planning and Zoning Commission.
