North Branford Man Camps Outside Sub Shop For Free Year Of Sandwiches

Christian really wanted free sandwiches for a year.

The North Branford man, whose last name was not provided, camped outside of Newington's DiBella's Old Fashion Submarines since Monday, according to WFSB. Why? Because he, along with the other first 29 people who entered the store when it opened, got 52 free sub certificates, according to the news site. 

The submarine shop had its grand opening today at its new location in Newington, and had the contest as part of a publicity stunt, according to WFSB. Overall, there are 32 DiBella stores throughout the United States, according to the company's website.

The promotion drew a long line of people who camped outside for the free subs, according to WFSB. Along with the first 30 in line, 10 other people will be chosen at random at the end of the week and will also get 52 free sub certificates, according to the site.
