Poppy‘s restaurant has been serving North Branford for over 52 years. Within our 52 years of business, Poppys restaurant has never been closed  for more than a day or two. Not only did the shut down devastate and affect us. North Branford police logs, April 22-April 30: April 24 James Black, 40, of Myakka City, FL, was charged with <a href="https://patch.com/connecticut/northbranford/fatal-hit-run-suspect-extradited-ct-charged-manslaughter">first-degree manslaughter, evading responsibility resulting in death and tampering with evidence.</a> April 28 Joseph Casagrande, 26, of Clinton, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Police provide all information. Charges are allegations, not convictions. All are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
