North Branford Police Communications Dept. Handled 12,927 Calls For Service In Past Year: PD

Police 911 dispatchers guide "residents through stressful moments and providing vital support to our police, fire, and EMS personnel:" NBPD.

NORTH BRANFORD, CT — The North Branford Police Department shared its gratitude on Facebook for emergency dispatchers who, give they're largely behind the scenes, often do not get the recognition they deserve.

"Behind every call for help, there is a calm voice, a steady hand, and a dedicated professional working tirelessly to keep our community safe," police wrote. "Our Communications Department is the heart of our emergency services, yet they so often work behind the scenes without the recognition they deserve."

Police pointed out that in the past year, dispatchers handled more than 12,927 calls for service, "guiding residents through stressful moments and providing vital support to our police, fire, and EMS personnel."

"They are there for us 24/7/365—nights, weekends, and holidays—always ready to answer the call," police wrote. "Your dedication, compassion, professionalism, and work ethic do not go unnoticed, and we are truly grateful for everything you do."
