Obituary: Audrey Clark Crosby, 93, of North Branford

An avid reader who loved to travel by boat with family, friends, she was a New Haven Blades, Nighthawk, Red Sox, NY Rangers and UConn fan.

Audrey Clark Crosby, 93, of North Branford passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday January 28th, 2024. Audrey was born on August 6, 1930, to Carl and Viola Clark in New Haven, CT. Audrey was a loving sister, mother, grandmother and GiGi.

She enjoyed travelling on the family boat, as well as cruises later in life. She took many trips with her sisters and friends and was an avid reader. Was a dedicated supporter and season ticket holder for the New Haven Blades and Nighthawks, a faithful fan of the Boston Red Sox, New York Rangers and UConn basketball.

Audrey is predeceased by her parents, former husband Norman Crosby, sister and brother-in-law Viola and William Snow, sister Barbara Vincelette, brother and sister-in-law Carl and Dorothy Clark, brothers-in-law Maynard Parker and Walter Kukta, and beloved “adopted” grandson Mark Anthony Pappacoda, Jr. She is survived by sisters Geraldine Kukta and Patricia Parker, daughters Cynthia, Karen and Sandra “Jody” Crosby, granddaughter Audra (Greg) Gallagher, great-granddaughter Mackenzie and many nieces, nephews and “adopted” grandchildren. Audrey’s family would like to thank Home Care Plus Community Healthcare and Hospice of Guilford for their wonderful care and support.

Family and friends may call at the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte 80) East Haven Thursday morning from 9:00-11:00 followed by a Graveside Service at 11:30 in All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Branford Fire Department, Headquarters Company 1 at PO Box 537, North Branford, CT 06471.
