Obituary: EllenAnn Clough, 77, of North Branford
Head teller at many banks and retired Yale admin assistant, she was a UConn women's basketball fan & loved watching her grandsons play ball.
EllenAnn Clough, age 77, of North Branford passed away peacefully with her family by her side on March 5, 2024. She was born on June 16, 1946, to the late George Watrous, III, and Elizabeth Stevens Watrous.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 37 years, Edward Clough. She is also survived by one daughter, Rebecca Gordon, and her husband William of Higganum; their two children, Liam and Riley; her brother, John “Jack”, and his wife Jacqueline Watrous of East Haven; their daughters, Kaitlyn and Megan; her brother James Watrous of Florida. She was predeceased by her son, Gerald V. Cappiello, Jr.

The family would like to give extra thanks to her caregivers, Shahnaz and Jocelyn.
EllenAnn was head teller at numerous banks in the New Haven area throughout her life, and retired from Yale where she was an administrative assistant for 14 years. She enjoyed watching UConn women’s basketball with her husband, shopping, and going to the casino. Mostly, she enjoyed watching her grandsons play baseball, and spending time with her nieces.
