Plaque Will Be Dedicated to Beloved North Branford Coach
The Town Council has approved the concept of a memorial for Floyd Parness to be dedicated at the upcoming Potato & Corn Festival

NORTH BRANFORD, CT - Plans are being finalized to have a monument placed at the entrance of this year's Potato & Corn Festival engraved with a plaque dedicated to beloved cross country coach Floyd Parness, who died last year while out jogging.
The council said Tilcon has agreed to donate a rock on which to attach a plaque.
The cost of the plaque would be about $2,000 and students plan to do some fundraising to defray costs.
