2 Pedestrians Struck By Vehicle During Street Takeover: North Haven PD

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Two spectators were injured after being struck by a vehicle that was spinning around a ring of fire during a street takeover early Saturday morning in North Haven, according to police.

Police responded around 2 a.m. to Montowese Avenue at the intersection with the I-91 North off ramps on the report of a pedestrian struck during a street takeover.

“Upon arrival several cars fled the area, and no injured individuals were located,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “A short time later we received a call from a local hospital regarding two males in their 20’s, injured during the incident. These individuals were transported to the hospital by friends / acquaintances, prior to officers arriving on scene.”

Police said that they are looking for a 2016 Dodge Charger R/T four-door, white with a black hood.

“This vehicle struck two spectators and fled the area,” police wrote. “Portions of video we’ve obtained, which some may find disturbing, have been slowed down / edited to highlight the recklessness of not only the suspect(s), but spectators / participants of these events as well. We will leverage all resources / federal partnerships to help identify those involved.”
