Business Burglarized Overnight In North Haven: Police

Police said the burglary took place early Tuesday morning in North Haven.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A jewelry store was burglarized overnight in North Haven, according to police.

Police said officers patrolling the North Haven Shopping Plaza on Washington Avenue around 1 a.m. on Tuesday heard an “audible alarm ringing” at Arnold’s Jewelers.

Upon checking the business, police said it was “apparent a commercial burglary had just occurred.”

Detectives responded to process the scene, according to police.

On Monday, police responded to 1915 Hartford Turnpike for an armed robbery at the RoadRunner gas station.

“Thankfully no serious injuries were sustained,” police wrote in a post on Facebook on Tuesday morning.

Police said that investigation is ongoing.

“These incidents, in addition to our normal accidents, domestics, shopliftings, and mental health calls, have been keeping us busy,” police wrote. “We remind everyone to be alert and mindful of your surroundings, and call us 24/7 with suspicious activity.
