Esther Muller: Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, East Haven

Esther (Routolo) Muller, 92 of East Haven passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025 at the Village at Mariner’s Point. She was born February 2, 1933 in New Haven to Alfonse and Mary (Koladza) Routolo. Esther is survived by her five devoted children; Carol Falco (James) of North Haven, Sandra Somma (Pasquale) of North Haven, Karl Muller (Suzanne) of Branford, Kurt Muller (Bonnie) of Northford and Michael Muller of CA, along with ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Esther is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles Muller (2004) and two siblings; Robert Routolo and Arlene Montalto.

Esther, together with her husband, was co-founder of Diamond Auto Sales in East Haven and worked there for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed winters at her home on Hutchinson Island, Florida where she cooked and entertained her many friends. She always made sure a good time was had by all. Esther maintained her zest for life until her final day.

Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday September 8, 2025 at 12:30 PM in St. Pio Pietrelcina Parish at the Church of St. Bernadette, 385 Townsend Ave., New Haven with Committal to follow at East Lawn Cemetery.
