Frederick Rodriguez: Democratic Candidate for Board of Education
His educational background, professional experience, and skills would be a benefit to the town's Board of Education.

Frederick Rodriguez, a Board of Education candidate and 9-year resident of North Haven, has a remarkable educational and professional background. His background includes 15 years of experience in higher education. He has worked as a researcher at the Yale School of Medicine and published two scientific articles. Frederick has also worked in information technology as a Senior Endpoint Engineer and an Application Developer. In these roles for information technology, he has served on several committees to help analyze and develop better business acumen and built consensus. Additionally, Frederick is an active steering member for a diversity and inclusion group at Yale University, where he helps to plan and coordinate efforts on staff retention and engagement.
More recently, he has been interested in cyber and physical security policy and compliance. Frederick attended a conference at Stanford University and talked about higher education cyber and physical security in an application developer forum. Cyber and physical security are important to Frederick. They impact data and privacy technology protections in education for both the students and the board. Importantly, the impact affects the physical security too. Frederick understands the issues around policy and compliance for all participants. As the district increases technology in the schools, a board member should have knowledge of good security policy, compliance, and practices.
Frederick’s educational background, professional experience, and skills would be a benefit to the town’s Board of Education. He holds an undergraduate degree in computer science from Quinnipiac University and a graduate degree from Georgetown University in technology management. Additionally, Frederick is in the process of completing an engineering master’s degree in cybersecurity policy and compliance. He is extremely enthused to serve on the Board of Education. He will ensure policies are transparent and available to everyone in the town.
