Man Found Dead At Popeyes Restaurant In North Haven: Police

The body of a man who had been reported missing from Hamden was found in a vehicle in the restaurant's parking lot, according to police.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A man who had been reported missing from Hamden was found dead in a vehicle in the Popeyes parking lot in North Haven on Wednesday night, according to North Haven police.

Police received a call around 8:30 p.m. regarding a vehicle in the restaurant’s parking lot at 173 Washington Avenue in North Haven.

The caller said the vehicle was possibly connect to a missing person case out of Hamden, according to police.

Police said officers forced entry into the vehicle and found a deceased adult male inside.

The man had been reported missing to the Hamden Police Department several days earlier, according to police.

“No obvious signs of trauma or foul play were observed, but we continue to work with the Hamden Police Department and Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “There is no risk to the public.”
