North Haven, Conn. - At the Connecticut State Senate District 34 Convention, held on Tuesday, May 14 at the North Haven Recreation Center, Democratic delegates from the towns in CT Senate District 34 (Durham, East Haven, North Branford, North Haven, and Wallingford) unanimously nominated Brandi Mandato as the endorsed Democratic candidate. Mandato was officially nominated by Alida Cella, Wallingford DTC Chair, and the nomination was seconded by Karen Martin, East Haven Town Council and East Haven DTC Vice Chair.

As the endorsed candidate, Mandato will appear on the ballot in November on the Democrat line and will work closely with the district’s towns’ DTCs throughout the campaign.

“It is an incredible honor to be trusted with this awesome responsibility and to have the chance to be of service to the people of Connecticut in a new way,” Mandato said. “Now more than ever, we need people in elected office fighting for us and working toward good, sustainable solutions to the real challenges families are facing every day. I have been doing exactly this for more than 20 years and I will continue this work as your state senator.”
