Manuel Borbon obituary: Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, East Haven

Manuel Borbon 67 of North Haven passed away September 3, 2025 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born April 22, 1958 in the Dominican Republic to the late Francisco and Bartolina (Vargas) Borbon. Manuel is survived by his three sisters; Gertrude Hartsell of New Haven, Orgelina Borbon of North Haven and Maria Borbon (Alfonso Richardson) of Port St. Lucie, Florida along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Manuel grew up surrounded by a family who cherished him deeply. Though he lived with an intellectual disability, it never defined who he was. What truly defined Manuel were his sharp wit, his sense of humor, and his feisty personality that made every gathering brighter.

He had simple joys that brought him great happiness—watching construction trucks at work, listening to music, enjoying cars, and sharing good food. Above all, Manuel loved being surrounded by his family. He had a remarkable gift for making people laugh, and his smile was as contagious as his spirit.
