North Haven Soccer Club Offers Scholarships for Members

From the North Haven Soccer Club:

The North Haven Soccer Club (NHSC) is giving $500 college scholarships to two current or former members of the NHSC who are heading off to college.

The applicant must be a graduating high school senior who will be attending his or her first year of college in the fall of 2016. The applicant may not be a child of any of the current officers of the North Haven Soccer Club or a child of the current NHSC Scholarship Committee members. The applicant must be a current or former member of the North Haven Soccer Club, either as a player, coach, volunteer or referee for at least five years and must state in what capacity he or she was involved with the club and what years. The applicant must expect to graduate with a "B" average or higher and submit his or her official high school transcript.

Applicants must also submit an essay of at least 200 words to illustrate "What soccer has meant to me…" A letter of recommendation is optional. These requirements must be postmarked no later than Sunday, May 15 and must include contact information with phone number and email address. The application must be mailed to NHSC Scholarship Committee, C/O Adam Acquarulo, at 2304 Ridge Rd.
