Ernest B. “Ernie” Hulse Sr., 83, of North Haven, beloved husband of Pauline Cocco Hulse passed away on August 25, 2025 surrounded by his family at his home. Loving father of Ernest B. Hulse Jr. of Las Vegas and Jennifer (Scott) Vallee of Port St. Lucie. Grandfather of Christopher and Gianna Vallee. Brother of Judith Clark of Cheshire. Stepfather of Christine (John) Kapinos of East Haven. Step grandfather of Kaitlyn and Jason Kapinos.
Ernie was born in New Haven on July 28, 1942, son of the late Ernest B. and Teresa Rakiec Hulse. Prior to his retirement, Ernie was employed by CT Transport Tractor Trailer as a truck driver and retired from the Teamsters Local 443.

His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven TUESDAY morning, September 2, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ambrose Parish in St. Augustine Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
