Officer Saved By 9-Year-Old Daughter Returns To North Haven Police Department
The police officer who was saved with the help of his 9-year-old daughter was back on the job on Monday, according to police.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — A North Haven police officer has returned to the force a little more than five months after suffering a cardiac event in which he was saved with the help of his 9-year-old daughter.
Officer Alex Sinanis suffered a cardiac event in late November 2024 while home with his daughters, according to police.
“The event caused him to lose consciousness and stop breathing,” police wrote in a post on Facebook on Monday. “His 9-year-old daughter, Analia, contacted 911 to get help, and at the instruction of dispatchers, began life saving efforts. She was the first of many people, including police, fire, ems, and hospital staff, who played a role in Alex's recovery, but none of it happens if Analia doesn't make that brave call.
