Antonio “Tony” Chiaia, 89, passed away on Mar. 12, 2025. Born Mar. 30, 1935, in Cusano Mutri, Italy, he immigrated in 1956 and worked for New Haven Architectural Tile & Terrazzo and later Nustone Industries until retirement, enjoying his Vespa, gardening, making wine, prosciutto, and sausage, canning tomatoes, browsing flea markets, playing bocce with the Hamden Bocce Club, and spending time with family.

Claudia Hermine Bauman Abercrombie, 89, passed away on Mar. 14, 2025. A 1953 Hamden High graduate, she worked in the North Haven School System for over 30 years, enjoyed time at her family’s beach cottage in Westbrook, and found great joy in her dogs, Charlee and Albert.

Helen Cigich Wallace, 96, passed away on Mar. 21, 2025. She worked for SNET for 41 years, retiring as a Staff Assistant, and was active in the Telephone Pioneers of America, St. Frances Cabrini Women’s Club, North Haven Senior Center, and the former New Haveners Senior Center, receiving the St. Joseph Medal of Appreciation from the Archdiocese of Hartford.

Judith A. Proto Iovanna, 82, passed away on Mar. 21, 2025. A graduate of Branford High School and Stone Business College, she worked as a Finance Clerk for the Town of North Haven for over 20 years until retirement.
