Helen Louise Burns Lombardi, age 92, died May 24, 2025, after a nearly 50-year manufacturing career including 25 years at Marlin Firearms as a cutter grinder and certified tool and die maker, with a strong work ethic, sharp wit, and passion for her trade.

Bhanu C. Shah, 81, died May 24, 2025. A devoted caregiver, skilled cook, and lifelong supporter of others, she emigrated from India, sponsored over 150 people to come to the U.S., and spent decades raising a family and helping build a welcoming home for many.

Allan E.G. Ljunggren, 78, died May 26, 2025. A former floor sander and longtime owner of Ljunggren’s Floor Sanding, he was a Branford Elks Lodge member who enjoyed casino trips, lottery scratch-offs, and time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

William “Billy” F. Natale Jr., 76, died May 29, 2025. A longtime New Haven Public Schools teacher and member of the CT Teachers Association, he was a poetry enthusiast, nature lover, avid traveler, and split his time between Connecticut and Vermont for four decades.

Barbara “Jean” Champagne Gargano, 66, died May 30, 2025. A stay-at-home mother who assisted in her husband’s business, she enjoyed time with her grandson and watching him grow over the past seven years, and leaves behind many family members and friends who loved her very much.

Phyllis Miller Davis, 95, died May 30, 2025. A homemaker who enjoyed watching John Wayne films and spending Sundays surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
