Dorothy G. Putney, 98, died June 22, 2025. She wrote the Montowese News for the North Haven Post, contributed Girl Scout troop publicity, and enjoyed traveling to Italy, Bermuda, France, The Netherlands, Alaska, Hawaii, and the Panama Canal.

Richard J. “Rick” Lucibello, 72, died June 23, 2025. He worked as an insurance agent, most recently with the John M. Glover Agency, and was a long-standing member of the Wallingford Country Club.

Mark Joseph Darin, 35, died June 26, 2025. He worked as a project superintendent at LaRosa Construction for 16 years, enjoyed cooking—especially making pizza—followed baseball and hockey, and was known for his humor, storytelling, and pranks.

Rita Ann Mahon, 87, died June 29, 2025. She worked as an operating room nurse after graduating from St. Vincent’s Hospital School of Nursing, and enjoyed Christmas decorating, collecting carolers, playing Mahjong, and spending time at her lake cottage in Holland, Mass.

Laurie Charlotte Grillo Bennett, 67, died June 30, 2025. She worked in medical transcription and records, most recently at Community Health Center, Inc., and enjoyed a long life rooted in family and community in both Maine and Connecticut.

Uriel “Cookie” Yopp, 93, died July 2, 2025. She worked at Horowitz Brothers and Yale University for 23 years, and enjoyed sewing, singing, dancing, playing the organ, watching UConn basketball, and participating in Liberty Community Church.

Ercole Casella, 90, died July 3, 2025. He was the owner/operator of Casella Motors of Hamden for many years until his retirement.
