Teen Arrested After Firing Gun During Robbery: North Haven Police

Three other people associated with the robbery escaped, police said.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A 16-year-old from Hartford was arrested after he fired a gun during an armed robbery early Sunday morning in North Haven, according to police.

The incident occurred at 5:30 a.m. when four males entered a Citgo gas station on Washington Avenue, police said. One person pointed a gun at an employee and threatened him while the others went behind the counter to try to access the register and safe, according to police. A struggle ensued and the boy fired a round but did not hurt the worker, police said.

Officers took the teen into custody but the other three people fled, according to police.
