It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Victoria “Vickie” Sheehan Riggione, 78, passed away on Oct 30 2024, after a valiant battle with cancer. Vickie was born in Jacksonville Florida on May 6, 1946 to the late Edward “Mickey” Sheehan Jr, a World War II veteran, and Pearl Harbor survivor, and Flora “Flo” Sheehan, assistant to the Director of the Pasco County Florida Tax Collector’s Office.
Vickie was the beloved wife of Nicholas “Nick” Riggione, a 50 year resident of Milford Connecticut.
Vickie met Nick 60 years ago when he was attending St. Leo's College in Dade City, Florida, Vickie’s home town. They fell in love and eloped, to the surprise of their parents. Vickie was undoubtedly the inspiration key to Nick’s success. She was the wind beneath his wings. Her devotion as a diligent homemaker, caring mother, aunt, and grandmother gave Nick the strength and time to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams for his family.

Although busy at home; safe keeping six children, and many rescue animals, Vickie’s cheerful disposition, talent for cooking, love of laughter, and incredible sense of humor, many people sought her presence as soon as they entered the family businesses: Knickerbocker’s Famous Bar and Restaurant, Lum’s Restaurant, Nick and Neil’s Danceteria, and Knickerbocker’s on the Water. Vickie treated all of the customers and employees like family, even hosted them during the holidays, inviting them to her home, to the swimming pool, all the while waiting on everyone with a smile and her southern hospitality. Vickie was an amazing friend to all! She was the first to offer a helping hand, a sympathetic ear, and share her wisdom.
Vickie cherished attending mass and had a strong Catholic faith. She enjoyed frequently volunteering at St. Mary’s school as a lunch lady and chaperone for class trips. As a true believer in Christ, she always thought of others before herself. Vickie implemented her religious teachings into her day-to-day life by always serving others until her very last days.
