Week Ahead: Budget Referendum Vote on Tuesday

After all the meetings and public hearings, it is now time to vote!

This week in North Haven marks an important vote for all residents, voters and electors: the 2013-2014 Budget Referendum.

The one question on the ballot is as follows:

Shall the Town of North Haven, in accordance with the recommendation of the Board of Finance, approve and adopt a budget consisting of $46,970,908 for the Board of Education and $39,880,399 for the Town Government, for a total amount of $86,851,307 for the fiscal year July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014?

All voting for the referendum takes place at the Mildred A. Wakeley Recreation Center, 7 Linsley Street.

This one voting location for the referendum vote is new this year. For primaries and elections, the voting will return to the five original polling locations.

The Recreation Center will be open from 6am to 8pm on Tuesday, May 21 for the referendum vote.
