2021 Crystal Theatre Summer Camps & Classes

Summer is a great time to try out a Crystal Theatre class or show as we transition to a musical theatre conservatory offering a full range of training for the aspiring pre-professional student. In addition to our traditional show camps (Broadway Blast, Snow White, Arf!, Godspell, Jr. and Little Women) we are offering Actor’s Toolkit and Dance Connection camps, Broadway Finishing School as well as private voice training (virtual and in-person) and individual/group dance training classes in the evening. In addition, there is a hybrid virtual music video class (Lights, Camera Action) for those impacted by Covid-19. Add to that a 10 Minute Play Festival and you will see there is truly something for everyone!

Camps and classes are categorized by age groups and registration is on-line through our web-site, www.crystaltheatre.org. Just click on the Camps/Classes tab at the top to see the many listings. For Dance Connection & Actors’ Toolkit classes and private lessons, click on the Pre-Professional tab! All our teachers are Conservatory-trained professionals and this is our 34th year in Norwalk.

For first-timers, summer is the perfect opportunity to jump in and try it. The only show/class with pre-audition requirements is “Little Women, the Musical”. All other classes are open to all regardless of experience. At Crystal Theatre we believe that all children with the desire to excel have the ability to bring out their inner artist. We teach by positive reinforcement and encourage all our students to cheer on their peers. We teach year-round, so if you wish to pursue your artistic passion, we are here for you. For the serious student there is our Rising Stars 4-year diploma program as well as College-Bound training and audition preparation--with video-taped audition packages produced in our own theater.
