84-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck By Pickup Truck In Norwalk, ID Released By Police
The 84-year-old woman was struck by the pickup truck while crossing a driveway, police said.
NORWALK, CT — An 84-year-old woman was fatally struck by a pickup truck on Saturday morning, police said.
At 10:16 AM, Norwalk Combined Dispatch received multiple 911 calls reporting a pedestrian was struck by a pickup truck in the area of 133 Connecticut Ave., police said.
Norwalk Police, Norwalk Fire Department and Norwalk Hospital EMS found the pedestrian, identified as Josephine Pimpinella, 84, and provided emergency medical care, police said. Pimpinella sustained serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to Norwalk Hospital, where she later died as a result of her injuries, police said.

Norwalk Police Crash Reconstruction Unit Officers responded along with detectives who canvassed the area for witnesses and surveillance footage. Crash Reconstruction Unit Officers processed the scene and assumed the investigation. Based on the preliminary investigation, Pimpinella was struck by the pickup truck while crossing the driveway of 133 Connecticut Ave., police said.
