Audrey Mae Ezequelle Ambler, 89, Norwalk High Grad

Audrey Mae Ezequelle Ambler, 89, born June 30, 1923, wife of the late George Edward Ambler, died peacefully at the home of her daughter in Ocala, FL on December 28. 

Audrey was born in Norwalk, the daughter of the late Katherine McCabe of  Norwalk and the late Clifford Ezequelle.  She was a graduate of Norwalk High School, Class of 1941 and the Bridgeport School of Nursing, Class of 1945 and worked locally as a registered nurse.  Audrey was a member of the South Norwalk Boat Club Women’s Auxiliary and a communicant of St. Mary Church.  

Survivors include 4 children and their spouses; Clifford G. and Karen Ambler of Anderson, IN, Dawn A. and Jim Andrews of Ocala, FL, David E. and Lauren Ambler of Redding, CT and Paul E. and Laura Ambler of Woodbury, CT, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  Audrey was also predeceased by her brothers Graham and Clayton Ezequelle.

A memorial mass in Audrey’s memory will be held at St. Mary Church at a date and time to be announced in the spring.  Donations in her name may be made to St. Mary Church, 669 West Ave., Norwalk, or to Hospice of Marion County PO Box 4860 Ocala,Fla. 34478-4860 (hospiceofmarion.com).
