The city's annual Independence Day concert and fireworks were originally scheduled to take place Thursday but have now been rescheduled.

NORWALK, CT — The city's annual Independence Day concert and fireworks, originally scheduled to take place Thursday, July 3, have been postponed to Saturday, July 5, due to the weather forecast, city officials announced Thursday morning.
According to a news release provided by the city, the weather forecast is "predicting thunderstorms [Thursday] evening with a risk of strong winds that would present challenges to the fireworks and people coming to and leaving Calf Pasture Beach."
On Saturday, the city's schedule for fireworks and musical entertainment at Calf Pasture Beach will be the exact same as previously scheduled for July 3, city officials said.
