NORWALK, CT — A Norwalk house was deemed unfit for occupancy after heavy fire broke out in the home's dining room Tuesday morning, according to fire officials.
In a news release, Deputy Fire Chief Adam Markowitz said firefighters and emergency medical services crews were called to Cindy Lane around 8 a.m. after receiving a report of a structure fire.

The fire was starting to extend out of the dining room and into other areas of the home, however crews extinguished the blaze in about 30 minutes, according to Markowitz.
