Many local graduates excelled in academics, fine arts or volunteer service. Here's one local graduate who deserves a shoutout in Norwalk.

NORWALK, CT — Graduation is a major milestone and deserves to be celebrated! That's why Patch and T-Mobile have teamed up to recognize our community's outstanding 2024 graduates.

Querra Elaysia Thomas has conquered her fears and been an outstanding student, community volunteer, friend and example of a young person who takes advantage of the grace shown to her and extends grace to others without bias. She is a member of the National Honor Society and a repeated High Honors student and award recipient at Brien McMahon. She is a first generation college student starting Fall 2024 and is changing the legacy in her family with the hard work, openness and commitment is made. In December 2023, she gained early acceptance to American University in Washington, DC and will major in Biochemistry. She aspires to create medical devices for humans and animals that provide ease and make their physical wellness and health concerns from mobility to breathing, easier to address.
