ICYMI: Norwalk Police Use DNA, Charge Bridgeport Man with Village Bagels Burglary

ICYMI (in case you missed it): Angel Rodriguez, 47, of Bridgeport was arrested and initially held on $75,000 bond.

Man Arrested for Village Bagel burglary:

On March 3, 2015 Norwalk Detectives arrested Angel Rodriguez, a forty seven-year-old resident of Bridgeport on charges stemming from the burglary of Village Bagels on October 18, 2014. Rodriguez and an accomplice forced their way into Village Bagels shortly after 3:00 AM on October 18, 2014. An employee confronted Rodriguez and his accomplice, who both fled the scene.

Detectives investigating the case were able obtain DNA from the evidence seized during the investigation. The DNA was found to belong to Rodriguez. Based on Detective Bisceglie’s investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Rodriguez charging him with Burglary 3, Larceny 6, Possession of Burglary Tools and Criminal Mischief 1st. Rodriguez was held on a $75,000.00 bond.
