Illegal Items Seized From 3 Norwalk Vape Shops, 3 Arrested: Police
Police said they arrested three employees and seized contraband from a trio of Norwalk vape shops as part of an ongoing joint investigation.

NORWALK, CT — A number of illegal items were recently seized from a trio of Norwalk vape shops as part of an ongoing joint investigation into non-licensed cannabis sales and the sale of products containing more than the legal amount of THC throughout the city, according to police.
In a news release, Police Sgt. Ryan Evarts said members of the department's Special Services Division, along with the State of Connecticut Drug Control Division, searched three smoke shops this week and seized contraband from each.
The following items were seized from Sono One Stop, located on Washington Street, according to Evarts: pre-rolls, THC flower pouches, THC flower canisters, scales, numerous baggies commonly used for drug packaging, THC vape products, THC resin products, THC edible products, pounds of edibles/flower product and $691 in cash.

An employee was also arrested Wednesday on charges of illegal sale/manufacture of cannabis, use or possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal sale/manufacture of cannabis.
The 45-year-old Norwalk resident's bond was set at $6,500 and they are scheduled to appear in court later this month, according to Evarts.

The following items were seized from R&R Smoke Shop and Convenience, located on Main Street, according to Evarts: illegal THC vape products, illegal THC edible products, vacuum seal bags, empty aluminum packaging baggies in various brands commonly used to package these cannabis products, marijuana flower cannabis, pounds of edibles/flower product and $1,565 in cash.
An employee was also arrested Wednesday on charges of possession with intent 1KG or more of cannabis, sale of 1 KG or more of cannabis, use or possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal sale/manufacture of cannabis.
The 23-year-old Norwalk resident's bond was set at $150,000 and they are scheduled to appear in court later this month, according to Evarts.
The following items were seized from VP Snack and Soda 108 Varieties and Deli, located on Connecticut Avenue, according to Evarts: illegal edible THC products in various name brands and packaging, pounds of edibles/flower product and $1,473 in cash.
An employee was also arrested Tuesday on charges of possession with intent 1KG or more of cannabis and illegal sale/manufacture of cannabis.
The 34-year-old Bronx, N.Y., resident's bond was set at $6,500 and they are scheduled to appear in court later this month, according to Evarts.
"These investigations into the illegal actions of vape shops are ongoing," Evarts said in a news release.
Evarts also noted the Special Services Division continues to receive "complaints of vape/tobacco sales to minors, illegal sales of marijuana and other items that contained high levels of THC such as edibles."
