Joseph Michael Esposito, 79, Korean War Veteran

Joseph Michael Esposito, 79, passed away Satursday, December 29, 2012.

Joseph Michael Esposito, 79, of Norwalk, was called to God on Saturday, December 29, at his home.  He was the loving husband of Rose Boccia Esposito. 

Joseph was born in Scranton, PA on May 20, 1933, the son of the late Antonio and Minnie Russo Esposito and had lived here for most of his life.  He served in the Air Force during the Korean War and then worked for many years as a mailman for the U.S. Postal Service.  After his retirement he went to work for Cadbury-Schwepps and then as a security guard, always looking to keep busy.  Joseph was also member of the Knights of Columbus.  He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed by his family and his dog Buddy.     

In addition to his wife, Joseph is survived by his two daughters JoAnn Esposito-Karcsmar and Patricia Ann Pocograno, his sister Sarah Epifano, grandchildren Monica and Anthony Karcsmar and Nicole and Jacob Pocograno, great granddaughter Skyylar Feggins and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 4, 10 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Ave., Norwalk, with entombment to follow at St. John Cemetery.  Joseph’s family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Thursday from 5-8 PM.  Donations in his name may be made to the American Cancer Society or The American Diabetes Assoc.  For directions or to leave an online condolence, please go to magnerfuneralhome.com
