Marijuana Products Found During Search Of Norwalk Smoke Shop: Police
Police said officers found over a pound of marijuana products and an employee was arrested following a search of a Norwalk smoke shop.

NORWALK, CT — Officers found over a pound of marijuana products and an employee was arrested Wednesday following a search of a Norwalk smoke shop, according to the Norwalk Police Department.
In a news release, Police Lt. Tomasz Podgorski said the department's Special Services Division executed a search and seizure warrant at Sono One Stop, located on Washington Street, following the execution of a previous warrant at the store back in January.
The search was part of an ongoing investigation into smoke shops in Norwalk suspected of selling cannabis and cannabis products without a valid cannabis license, according to Podgorski.

Podgorski noted it is illegal under Connecticut law to sell products that contain a total THC concentration greater than 0.3 percent without a state-issued license, as well as to sell pure marijuana outside of a licensed dispensary.
During Wednesday's search, officers found approximately 1.5 pounds of cannabis products, including pre-rolled marijuana cigarettes, containers and bags filled with marijuana and THC edibles, Podgorski said.

Officers previously issued the business a citation in November for failing to comply with the city's new vape shop ordinance. Wednesday marked the store's second violation under the ordinance, according to Podgorski.
Officers were also aware the store's clerk, Aiman Faroq Mohsen-Alhodais, 20, of Norwalk, had an active arrest warrant, Podgorski said.
Mohsen-Alhodais was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to sell a controlled substance. He was also charged on a warrant with sale of controlled substance.
In both instances his bond was set at $50,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court later this month, according to Podgorski.
