NORWALK, CT — Milling and paving work is scheduled to take place this week on a road in Norwalk, during which delays are expected, according to the city.
In a Facebook post Monday, city officials said milling and paving work will take place Oct. 14–17 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Flax Hill Road from Highland Avenue to Arbor Drive.
Flax Hill Road will remain open during this work, however lanes may shift, according to the city.

Travelers are asked to drive slowly through the area and expect some delays, city officials noted.
There will be no on-street parking during construction between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m., and vehicles left on the street will be towed, according to the city.

Milling is set to take place Tuesday and Wednesday, while paving is scheduled for Thursday and Friday.
If weather or equipment delays occur, work will continue the next day, according to the city.
When traveling on new pavement, travelers should drive slowly and avoid sharp turns to keep the asphalt smooth, city officials said.
"Thanks for your patience as we improve our city streets," the city's post reads.
