NORWALK, CT — Norwalk Public Schools announced this week Samantha Pleasants, a member of the Board of Education, recently resigned from her position.

According to a news release provided by the school district, Pleasants served District A.

Her committee and liaison responsibilities included Curriculum & Instruction, Special Education Curriculum Subcommittee and PTOC/SGC Liaison.

"On behalf of the Board of Education, we thank Samantha Pleasants for her service and we wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors," Board of Education Chairperson Diana Carpio said in a statement.

A reason for Pleasants' resignation was not provided by the district. Patch has reached out to Norwalk Public Schools for more information.
