Norwalk Bunny Rescue Group Saves WH Rabbits
A Norwalk domesticated rabbit rescue organization has taken in five pet rabbits that were in the hands of West Hartford animal control.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A family of abandoned domesticated bunnies being taken care of by West Hartford's animal control department is now in the hands of a Norwalk rescue organization dedicated to pet rabbits.
According to the West Hartford Animal Control Department's Facebook page, the five white rabbits with black splotches was taken in by Norwalk-based "Hop Along Hollow Rabbit Rescue."
The announcement, made last Thursday, said the group's latest acquisition means it is completely full and the organization can you various donations to keep unwanted domestic rabbits alive and ready for adoption.

"If anyone can help send some donations their way, we'd be grateful," wrote West Hartford Animal Control via social media. "They are full right now and have many people calling to rehome 'buns.'"
According to Hop Along Hollow's website, rabbits are actually the third most common domesticated pet behind dogs and cats.

But, the organization said, there are few options when it comes to rescuing rabbits and many are just left outside to die.
Currently, the Norwalk bunny rescue group has 100 rabbits and 30 volunteers keeping them alive and kicking — make that — hopping.
WHAC says Hop Along Hollow has a wish list on Amazon and an account at South Wilton Vet that donations can be made.
