Norwalk To Host 2024 Holiday Extravaganza, Wall Street Wonderland Events

The city has announced dates for its annual Holiday Extravaganza and Marketplace and Wall Street Wonderland events.

NORWALK, CT — The city has announced dates for its annual Holiday Extravaganza and Marketplace and Wall Street Wonderland events.

According to a news release provided by the city, Norwalk's Holiday Extravaganza and Marketplace will take place Dec. 7 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 50 Washington Street, and the Wall Street Wonderland event will be held Dec. 14 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on River Street.

These holiday events are free to attend and will showcase performances by local talent, allow attendees to visit South Norwalk and Wall Street businesses and bring community spirit to the heart of Norwalk's downtown areas, according to the city.

Norwalk's annual Holiday Extravaganza and Marketplace will feature a tree lighting ceremony at 6 p.m. where the city's 38-foot holiday tree will be illuminated in a dazzling display.

Following the tree lighting ceremony, attendees can enjoy performances by the Norwalk Academy of Dance, Norwalk Conservatory of the Arts, Norwalk High School Tri-M Music Honor Society, Roton Middle School Choir and the Ladies of Finesse, who will present "Kwanzaa: A Celebration of African American Culture" through an interactive dance experience.

Attendees will also see Santa and the Grinch rappel 150 feet from the top of 50 Washington Street and enjoy an indoor holiday marketplace featuring over 25 vendors offering unique gifts and seasonal treats.

Carousel rides and delicious offerings from food trucks like Ringside Grill and Greek Style will also be available, according to the city.

Visitors to Norwalk's annual Wall Street Wonderland on River Street can experience the vibrant neighborhood with a tree lighting ceremony at 6 p.m.

Guests can enjoy rides on a trackless train and performances by local groups, including the Norwalk Conservatory of the Arts, Norwalk Metropolitan Youth Ballet and Pontos Dance Troupe.

Wall Street businesses will also host pop-up experiences, inviting attendees to shop, explore and support the local community in the spirit of the holiday season.
