Norwalk Oyster Festival Coming In September

The Norwalk Seaport Association Oyster Festival is set for Sept. 10 and 11.

This year's entertainment lineup features Sawyer Fredericks, Funky Dawgz Brass Band, Ricky Byrd and Deuces Wild, Orquesta Afinke, Tim Currie's Motown Band.
The festival will also feature the Nerveless Knocks motorcycle thrill show, Paul Bunyan lumberjack show, food, arts and crafts, a Kids Cove and a craft beer tent, according to the event website.

About the NSA: The Norwalk Seaport Association was founded in 1978 as a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation, education and public awareness of Norwalk’s maritime environment and heritage. The Seaport Association and its volunteers are solely responsible for organizing and financing the Oyster Festival. In addition to the Oyster Festival, the Norwalk Seaport Association owns Sheffield Lighthouse and its volunteers maintain the lighthouse and grounds as a museum and nature preserve. The organization also offers harbor cruises, special events, maritime education programs and habitat restoration projects with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
