Norwalk Seaport Association Cooperating with Ride Accident Investigation
Event organizers statement about Sunday's incident on the "Zumur" ride.

Below is a statement from Norwalk Seaport Association, organizers of the Oyster Festival, regarding Sunday's accident on the "Zumur" ride.
"We’re relieved to hear that there were no life-threatening injuries. Our understanding is that 12 of the 13 individuals who received hospital attention were seen and released yesterday afternoon.

Our thanks go out to all of the first responders, who handled this incident so quickly and professionally, including Norwalk’s Police, Fire and EMT personnel, as well as mutual aid responders from surrounding communities.
As we said yesterday, our first concern remains for the wellbeing of those involved and their families. We will continue to cooperate with the state authorities and Stewart Amusements as they determine how this happened.
