NY Man Killed In Rollover Crash On I-95 In Norwalk: State Police

State police said a New York man was killed in a rollover crash after his rental car collided with a concrete barrier​ on I-95 in Norwalk.

NORWALK, CT — A New York man was killed in a rollover crash after his rental car collided with a concrete barrier late Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 95 in Norwalk, according to state police.

In an accident information summary, state police said Troop G received reports of a crash near Exit 16 of I-95 southbound around 3:30 p.m.

After further investigation, state police determined a red 2023 Nissan Altima with Florida registration was driving along I-95 south, north of Exit 16 in the right lane of three.

The Nissan then left the travel lane and crossed into the right shoulder, where it collided with a concrete jersey barrier. The vehicle then rolled over onto its roof, according to state police.

The driver, Tiofilo Cruz, 63, of the Bronx, N.Y., was taken to Norwalk Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later, according to state police.
