​Obituary : Elizabeth “Lizzie” Ellen Kalish Cardona

Elizabeth was known for her huge heart and dedication to family and friends. A loving and devoted mother, supportive wife.

Elizabeth “Lizzie” Ellen Kalish Cardona, 41, of Norwalk, CT passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024.

Elizabeth was born on July 16, 1982 and grew up in Darien, CT. She worked as a teacher and childcare provider for many years and touched the lives of countless children and families, including in her years working at the Norwalk YMCA and Columbus Magnet School. Her lifelong dreams of being a mother were realized in meeting her husband, Osman, and with the birth of their daughter, Scarlet. She was lovingly awaiting the arrival of her second daughter, Elizabeth.
Elizabeth was known for her huge heart and dedication to family and friends. A loving and devoted mother, supportive wife, kind and fun-loving aunt, doting grandmother, and beloved friend who found an extended family in her friendships. She loved bringing Scarlet to the park and had her bag packed for the beach as soon as the first hints of summer were in the air. Lizzie was quick to smile and laugh. She loved her mother dearly and was a devoted daughter.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Osman and daughters, Scarlet and Elizabeth; mother Sharon Maloney; sister Meredith, brother-in-law Daniel, and niece Jamie; brothers John and Peter; stepson Osman, Jr., daughter-in-law Nohelia, and grandson Ethan. She was predeceased by her father Harold and long-time friend, Betty. Elizabeth is also survived by her uncles William, John, and Dennis; cousins from the Maloney family; and countless friends, including Betty’s partner, Frank.
Friends may greet the family on Tuesday July 2, 2024 from 5:00 till 8:00 pm in the Raymond Funeral Home. 5 East Wall Street in Historic Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday July 3, 2024 at 10:00 am directly a St. Joseph's Church, Norwalk.
